ABOUT
The FORTEDU story
FORTEDU began with one teacher's home visits. Families who watched the children Julie Cha taught in their homes asked for deeper, longer lessons.
As the requests grew, a classroom was needed. Julie Cha and Leo Cha, co-founders, opened FORTEDU in Songdo: a place that teaches English and Spanish to the same standard.
Through love we connect, through connection we understand, through understanding we lead.

THE FORTEDU TEACHER
The FORTEDU teacher standard
What every teacher must do.
- 01Reads every child's sentencesIn a class of six, no child is skipped. What is written is read, what is said is heard, and both are answered.
- 02Speaks in specificsInstead of "well done", the teacher says what improved and what comes next. The reports use the same language.
- 03Lives in the language they teachEnglish teachers spend the day with the children in English, Spanish teachers in Spanish.
- 04Teaches from FORTEDU's own materialsFORTEDU writes the materials; each teacher shapes them to their own class.
